چکیده

Aims. We present V and R photometry of the gravitationally lensed quasars WFI 2033-4723 and HE 0047-1756. The data were taken by the MiNDSTEp collaboration with the 1.54 m Danish telescope at the ESO La Silla observatory from 2008 to 2012. Methods. Differential photometry has been carried out using the image subtraction method as implemented in the HOTPAnTS package, additionally using GALFIT for quasar photometry. Results. The quasar WFI 2033-4723 showed brightness variations of order 0.5 mag in V and R during the campaign. The two lensed components of quasar HE 0047-1756 varied by 0.2-0.3 mag within five years. We provide, for the first time, an estimate of the time delay of component B with respect to A of ∆t = (7.6 ± 1.8) days for this object. We also find evidence for a secular evolution of the magnitude difference between components A and B in both filters, which we explain as due to a long-duration microlensing event. Finally we find that both quasars WFI 2033-4723 and HE 0047-1756 become bluer when brighter, which is consistent with previous studies.

HE 0047 − 1756 : A new gravitationally lensed double QSO ⋆

The quasar HE 0047−1756, at z = 1.67, is found to be split into two images 1. ′′44 apart by an intervening galaxy acting as a gravitational lens. The flux ratio for the two components is roughly 3.5:1, depending slightly upon wavelength. The lensing galaxy is seen on images obtained at 800 nm and 2.1 μm; there is also a nearby faint object which may be responsible for some shear. The spectra of...

Integral field spectroscopy of four lensed quasars: analysis of their neighborhood and evidence for microlensing

Context. Gravitationally lensed quasars constitute an independent tool to derive the Hubble constant through the time-delays of their different images; they offer as well the opportunity to study the mass distribution and interstellar medium of their lensing galaxies and, through microlensing due to stars in their lensing galaxy, they also allow one to study details of the emitting source. Aims...

An Optical Time-Delay for the Lensed BAL Quasar

We present optical V and i-band light curves of the gravitationally lensed BAL quasar HE 2149−2745. The data, obtained with the 1.5m Danish Telescope (ESO-La Silla) between October 1998 and December 2000, are the first from a long-term project aimed at monitoring selected lensed quasars in the Southern Hemisphere. A time delay of 103±12 days is determined from the light curves. In addition, VLT...

SDSS J131339.98+515128.3: A new gravitationally lensed quasar selected based on near-infrared excess

We report the discovery of a new gravitationally lensed quasar, SDSS J131339.98+515128.3, at a redshift of 1.875 with an image separation of 1. 24. The lensing galaxy is clearly detected in visible-light follow-up observations. We also identify three absorption-line doublets in the spectra of the lensed quasar images, from which we measure the lens redshift to be 0.194. Like several other known...

Smooth matter and source size in microlensing simulations of gravitationally lensed quasars

Several gravitationally lensed quasars are observed with anomalous magnifications in pairs of images that straddle a critical curve. Simple theoretical arguments suggest that the magnification of these images should be approximately equivalent, whereas one image is observed to be significantly demagnified. Microlensing provides a possible explanation for this discrepancy. There are two key para...
